5D is family owned and operated with one goal in mind - capturing your special day and all of the beautiful moments that make it uniquely you. We do this by capturing beautifully posed / unposed portraits, and unprompted heartfelt candid moments. We aim to make your day stress free by being as minimally intrusive as possible, especially during the ceremony. In an effort to stay as organized as possible, we also use a timeline and checklist to ensure we capture all the moments that are important to you but still allowing us time to be creative. We can't wait to meet you!

Lisa is AMAZING! She is very punctual with her communication and very accommodating. When we traveled to Savannah for our engagement session, our hotel had a fire the morning of our shoot. Lisa rescheduled with us for the following morning. She had a ton of patience with us as neither my husband nor I had ever taken professional photos together. Lisa gave great suggestions and the pictures were fantastic!
The day of the wedding was nothing short of perfect. Lisa arrived to my bridal suite ready to take plenty of bridal portraits. She was so fun to be with and made my mom and I so comfortable with taking the photos. It can be kind of awkward to get photographs taken while you are getting dressed, etc. but not with Lisa. She even came to me at the end of our reception to make sure that she had photographed everything that I wanted. When we received our gallery, we were left speechless. Every single picture is absolute perfection. I can't wait to get our wedding album with her so that we will have it for a lifetime to relive the best day of our life. I honestly wish it was possible to rate 5D Photography 100 stars! Lisa was extremely responsive to all emails, calls, and texts, which was very important to me after dealing with other vendors who weren't as conscientious about communication. From the first time meeting her, Lisa was so sweet and I felt as if I had known her for years! During our engagement session, she offered some much needed guidance for both me and my husband on how to pose and made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She has such an excellent eye for photography and it is evident that she takes pride in the work she does. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch thanks largely to Lisa and her daughter who was our second photographer, Lauren! They kept the entire wedding party on schedule, worked closely with our planner, and captured the entire day beautifully. I am still over the moon at how gorgeous the photos turned out! Both my husband and I can not say enough about how happy we are with our decision in choosing 5D Photography!

Why should you buy an album? Here are three reasons:
1. Having a wedding album is a great way to tell your story, the love story of how your family began. I loved looking through my parents wedding album growing up. Just imagine your children and grandchildren being able to look through yours.
2. Technology is fast changing! We are sad every time we hear of a couple losing their USB drive or the computer they had their images on crashed. Printing a quality album is one way of insuring your images will stand the test of time.
3. Show off the results of months of planning. Albums make for great coffee table decor at your new home! Guests can flip through the pages of your wedding album and relive one of the best days of your life.

We're big fans of engagement sessions for a few reasons! First, they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera. It takes time for most couples to warm up to being photographed and to understand how to pose. Timelines can be pretty tight on wedding days and 30 mins may be all we have for portraits - which is why we've found that wedding day portraits run smoother when couples have had an engagement session ahead of time.
Second, you can showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you. While they're great for save-the-dates, we've taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding.

How far in advance should we book?
Our most popular dates book up to a year or more in advance. We suggest as soon as you secure your venue and date that you book your photographer.

When should we do our engagement session?
We recommend you schedule as soon as you book if you are using them for "Save the dates". If you are not using them for save-the-dates then anytime before the wedding is fine.

What is a bridal session?
Bridal sessions are done the same day as your bridal trial hair and makeup. It's a great way to see how everything photographs and if you want to make any changes. It also gives you a full hour to get wonderful bridal portraits and the option to explore an additional venue that may not be possible on your wedding day.
